About Coaching

Find out more about the different types of coaching I offer

  • C-me Colour Profiling is an easy to understand, quick to apply and cost-effective tool for improving your team’s communications and your organisation’s culture and impact.

As an accredited C-me Colour Profiling coach, I facilitate engaging and interactive half day or full day workshops at your workplace, retreat venue or online. I work with schools, non-profits and businesses.

    How does it work?

Prior to the workshop, each of your team members completes a 10-minute questionnaire which generates a clear, graphic report describing their work-based behaviour preferences. These reports are shared during the workshop, enabling team members to understand their own and others’ strengths, areas for development and unique contributions to the team. Rather than boxing people into a personality type, C-me focuses on our behaviour and getting to grips with our preferred ways of doing things. It informs team working and recruitment.

I use a coaching style to engage your team in a range of fun, interactive exercises which get them understanding each other better and applying what they learn to your organisation’s specific context. Workshops can be tailored to your organisation’s needs and follow up coaching sessions for individuals are available.

    Clients share:

“The workshop was great; I would highly recommend it. A great level of listening and interactions, honest and open sharing, chance to be stretched, to be vulnerable, to self-reflect as well as sharing and helping each other to reflect on ourselves and on the team. Liz did an awesome job at leading and facilitating.” Ellen, Foodbank Manager

  • As a leader, you set the tone and culture for your team. If you want your team to learn, thrive and achieve their goals, you need to model it.

Leading is a privilege and a responsibility. You get the opportunity to grow as a person; to develop others; to set the tone and culture for your team; to define the way forward for your team and organisation.

It can also be tough at the top. Juggling deadlines and workload; interpersonal conflict; making decisions that affect people; finding clarity for the next steps; managing change; unlocking your team’s potential; leading meetings and influencing people.

Leadership coaching is a future-focussed conversation about you and your role – where you gain new insights, develop your skills and find clarity for your next steps.

You set your own goals at the start of the coaching programme, and the agenda for each conversation. I’ll support you to discover new perspectives and uncover your best wisdom. I’ll ask you some questions which will bring new insight and an appropriate level of challenge. Together we’ll create a thinking space for you to untangle your thoughts and decide what’s next. I may offer specific leadership tools for you to play with, to see if they’re a good fit for you.

    Whether you’re asking a ‘big’ question…

‘What kind of leader am I?’ or ‘How can I change the culture in my organisation?’

    or a more focussed question…

‘How can I get the best from my team?’ or ‘How can I lead well on this project?’

…leadership coaching is a powerful tool for overcoming blockers and unlocking behaviour change which positively impacts you, your co-workers and the health of your organisation.

    How does it work?

First, we’ll have a ‘chemistry check’ – a conversation of up to 30 minutes to discuss what you want to achieve and decide whether we’re a good fit. If we decide to work together, I suggest starting with a series of 6 sessions – this gives you time to see your progress. It’s about committing to your own personal development so that you and others can benefit. Frequency of sessions is usually fortnightly, but weekly or monthly are also possible, diaries allowing. If someone more senior within your organisation is sponsoring your coaching, we will meet with the Sponsor near the beginning of the programme to explore goal alignment, and again at the end to review progress. I’m happy to discuss any of this with you during our chemistry check.

A client describes their leadership coaching journey:

“I was struggling with feeling as though I couldn’t do my job and that I didn’t have the personality to be a Team Leader. I was encouraged by the ‘Colour Me’ profile that Liz suggested I complete. It showed that my natural leadership qualities reduce under pressure but that they were there! I began to feel more confidence around being a Team Leader. The coaching helped to change the story that was going on in my head about my lack of ability to lead to one that said I did have ability and I can do it.” AK, Team Leader

  • Coaching is a tried and tested process which supports individuals to grow and move forward. It is a powerful tool for overcoming blockers and unlocking behaviour change which positively impacts the person being coached, their co-workers and the organisation in which they work. It is a positive contribution to personal development, supporting people to grow in their role, prepare for promotion, develop skills, manage workload and wellbeing or whatever they wish to achieve.

    How does it work?

Through questions, active listening, and appropriate challenge we co-create a thinking space. This helps you to discover new perspectives and uncover your best wisdom so that you can find clarity for what’s next. I may offer specific tools to try out, to see if they’re a good fit.

I work to the desired outcomes of the person I’m coaching. If someone more senior in the organisation is sponsoring the coaching, we will have a 3-way conversation near the beginning of the programme to explore goal alignment, and again at the end to review progress. Everything shared between me and the person being coached is kept in strict confidence unless agreed otherwise. I’m happy to discuss any of this with you prior to the start of the coaching programme.

A client describes their experience of coaching:

“Liz has a way of emitting an inner calmness which, coupled with her wonderful ability to listen to the whole person, made me feel very at ease and held space for me to explore. There was no sense of her steering the conversation, just respectful openness supported with useful questions, giving me precious time to think and be open. Our time together helped me alter my view and approach to a professional opportunity, which in turn led to a feeling of greater personal fulfilment and enjoyment.” Jo Wurpillot, HR Specialist
